busk·er /ˈbəskər/ n. a person who performs music or other entertainment in the street or another public place for monetary donations.
Starting April 2021, the BCT will be inviting buskers to perform under the marquee. Buskers are generally allowed to set up anywhere on Bloomington sidewalks, but the BCT offers extra benefits: power & amplification, shaded performance space, and a captive audience of street diners. We also pay our buskers to busk!
In exchange for compensation, buskers will be asked to welcome and encourage donations during their performance. If they take recommendations, donations may be used in exchange for song requests. For patrons planning to come to enjoy the performances, please bring extra cash to support your local artists and community theater!

Are you interested in becoming a BCT Busker? Sign up below or print and return the BCT Buskers Policy & Agreement Form with a copy of your W-9 to our Development Manager at email@example.com or by mail.
Once registered, BCT buskers will have exclusive access to claim timeslots to busk under the marquee!
A note about COVID Safety
Until County Health guidelines change, busker will be masked at all times between & during performances, unless a mask inhibits performance. For example, singers may perform without a mask but must be masked while not performing.
Additionally, to reduce person-to-person contact, we will not be allowing the sale of any items while busking. Buskers will instead have the option to sell merch (such as CDs and other merch) safely through the BCT Box Office.
We can’t wait to enjoy the busking season with you!
