Maddy has always seen the world as a boundless realm of opportunity. She has tried her hand at everything from pottery to skateboarding on their lifelong journey to become a true jack-of-all-trades. Maddy recently graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Media Production, but during their time at school they also became a certified Wilderness First Responder, obtained a minor in Anthropology of Food, served as a producer and director of IU’s Tiny Dorm Concerts, and more! They plan to keep exploring for many, many years to come.

Teri Watkins, she/her

Teri Watkins started at the BCT as a Volunteer Usher in 2007 and became part of the event staff in the fall of 2016. You can usually find her in the concession stand popping the theater’s popcorn and serving patrons. Teri moved from Omaha, Nebraska to Bloomington and works for a publisher.  She spends her time visiting state wineries with friends, gardening, volunteering in the community, cooking, and cheering for the Indiana Women’s basketball program.  She has published two books, most recently a cookbook of her grandmother’s recipes.

Derrek Tipton, he/him

Derrek comes to the BCT after spending five years as a news reporter for the Times-Mail in Bedford. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in journalism and telecommunications from Ball State in 2014. In addition to reporting, he spent time as a technical writer for a pharmaceutical company and designing sports pages for The Herald Times. Derrek also plays guitar in a Bloomington-based death metal band, Wretched Idol, as well as a Louisville-based metalcore band, Taken Lives.

Cassidy Garner, she/her

Cassidy has been a part of the BCT family since she moved to Bloomington from her hometown of Alexandria, IN to attend Indiana University in 2018. She now holds two Bachelor of Arts Degrees from IU, one in Spanish with a minor in Gender Studies, and the other in International Studies from the College of Arts and Sciences and the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies. During her academic career, she has also studied abroad in Mexico and Spain.

Claudia Gage, she/her

Claudia Gage is a graduate student at Indiana University, pursuing a Master of Arts in Arts Administration and a Master of Public Affairs. As a Youngstown, OH native, she has always loved theatre and performing arts. Before moving to Bloomington, she worked as an actor, teaching artist, costumer, and arts administrator for various arts organizations in Ohio, Kentucky, Connecticut, and New York. When not in class or at work, she can be found hiking, reading, baking, or relaxing at home with her cat Spooky.
