Which events will require proof of vaccination?
All events that are open to the public. This includes events happening at the BCT that are not within the BCT Presents Series. If you’re unsure if an event you’re attending is a public event, please contact the BCT Box Office.
Will children under 12 years of age be allowed to attend events?
Yes! Children under 12 and any patrons who are ineligible to receive a vaccine may provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test. We understand many of our younger patrons don’t have photo IDs; if a minor is accompanied by a vaccinated/negative-testing adult, the adult may verify the child’s identity.
How will vaccines and negative test results be verified?
The BCT will be contracting the help of a third-party security company to help check each patron. Please plan to arrive at events early and anticipate a line to get in. If you have your valid documentation ready, the line will move quickly!
- A physical vaccine card showing the last dose was administered 14 days prior to the event or a photo of the same card
- A dated COVID-19 test (generally referred to as a “receipt”) that shows a negative test result, the name of the patron, and the name of the testing facility
- A photo ID with a name that matches the test or card for patrons over 12 (minors accompanied by a ticket-holding adult do not need an ID).
Will my tickets be refunded if I cannot provide proof of vaccination/negative test?
The BCT Box Office has had a no refund policy since prior to the pandemic, but we have been flexible on a case-by-case basis depending on the show or reason. No tickets will ever be refunded within 48 hours of a show or retroactively. Please call the BCT Box Office to learn if your tickets are eligible for a refund.
What if I don’t have a vaccine card?
You can get another copy online through Indiana’s COVID-19 vaccination portal: https://eportal.isdh.in.gov/C19VaccinationPortal/ (if you don’t have an Access Indiana account, you will need to create one).
Will I be required to show proof of vaccination/negative COVID test at Blu Boy?
Proof of vaccination is only required for events held at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.
If I am fully vaccinated, will I still need to wear a mask?
Yes, we will continue to enforce Monroe County’s mask requirements for indoor events.
What negative COVID-19 test will you accept?
Any negative result (molecular, PCR, or antigen) that was administered by an official testing center.
What if I forget my proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results?
Unfortunately you will not be admitted. We suggest you use your phone to take a photo of your vaccine card or save your negative test result as a back-up. You can always delete it after the event if you are concerned about having a digital copy.
I was vaccinated in another country where other vaccines have been approved, such as Astrazeneca, will I be allowed to attend the event?
As long as you have proof of vaccination and are considered fully vaccinated, you can attend events at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.
What if I am never going to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, what options do I have?
You can always bring in a negative COVID-19 test that was administered within 48 hours of the event. However, we hope you will reconsider, as we want everyone in our community to remain safe and healthy.
